Colour Revamp Revealed

Colour Revamp

The spice of life is variety, and that’s especially true in the world of color. Stampin’ Up! makes a point to keep an eye on color trends across different markets and industries. When they see changes happening, they review their color spectrum to ensure that they remain consistently on top of the trends. This brings us to the 2018 Color Revamp! In order to keep bringing you the most current and on trend colours, they decided it was time to give their color collections a makeover.

You may have noticed from the Retiring Lists that many colours are going away. While I am sad to see some of my favourite colours go (goodbye my beloved Island Indigo), I am equally excited to see some returning favourites, as well as some brand new colours!

First, let’s take a look at the RETIRING COLOURS. They are below.

Colour Summary

Second, let’s new at NEW colours. Notice any returning favourites?!

New Colours

Next, let’s look at the FULL colour Reveal, including new Colour Collections.

Full Colour Reveal

Aren’t these colours delicious?! I am very excited about Merry Merlot, Mango Melody, Gorgeous Grape, and Balmy Blue! Oh, and did you see that Mint Macaron is coming back?! YES!

So, what do you think about these changes? I’d love to hear your feedback in the comment section of this blog post. I am absolutely excited about this and can just imagine all of the fun stamping we can have with these colours.

There is another change coming (I know, it’s a lot to take in), but the ink pads are also changing and I’ll post about those soon! And trust me, it is good!

When the catalogue goes live on June 1st, I’ll also have some colour guides available for my customers.

Be sure to sign up for my newsletter if you’re not already on my list!

Thanks for joining me today! Happy Stamping!

Beautiful Brusho Card w/VIDEO and Tips

Welcome friends! Today I am talking about Brusho and I have a video tutorial on how to create this stunning card using these Watercolour Crystals!

Brusho EDIT

You might have heard of the new Brusho Crystal Colour from Stampin’ Up! already, but just in case you haven’t, let me tell you about it! Brusho Crystal Colour is really a unique and highly pigmented watercolour powder and currently Stampin’ Up! offers  a set 5 different colours. These include Prussian Blue, Brilliant Red, Gamboge, Moss Green, and Yellow.

The powder can be applied to a variety of mediums including: watercolour, mixing with acrylics, simple sprinkling techniques and even wood staining! But for the purpose of this post, I did some good ole’ fashioned watercolour painting.

Before you get started, be sure to gather some of the additional watercolour painting supplies (as noted in the video below). You’ll also find a full supply list at the bottom of this post:

  • Two Mason Jars for water

  • A small bowl or other dish

  • Paper Towel

  • A Paint Brush

Brusho Edit 2

Look how pretty this is! I love it SO much! This would make a perfect birthday or Mother’s Day card too!

But to get the most out of Brusho, I have some tips for you and really think you’ll find them useful. They are:

  • Brusho is a highly pigmented product, which means it’s really rich in colour and a little goes a long way!

  • I suggest you do not fully open the Brusho jar, but rather poke a couple of holes in the top with your Paper Piercing Tool (or other). This way you can ‘sprinkle’ on the colour when needed. Think of it as using a salt shaker!

  • You don’t always need to add water to your paper first, simply sprinkle and spritz! Sprinkle your Brusho colours directly on your Watercolour Paper and then spritz with your Stampin’ Spritzer! You can then blend with your paint brush or leave it as-is for a crystalized effect.

  • Watercolour Paper is optimal when using Brusho, but if you don’t have that on hand, use heavy cardstock.

  • It’s messy and spontaneous, and FUN!

If you have some tips to share yourself, please comment on the post as I’d love to learn as well!

Need some supplies? Oh, how I would appreciate your business! When you support my online store, it brings more amazing videos to you! Plus, be sure to check out my rewards program HERE!

Oh, and don’t gorget that Sale-a-Bration isn’t over until March 31st, so be sure to stock up on some of your FREE favourites when you spend $60 or more in my online store!

Event Recap :: Catalogue Launch Party!

I recently held my Catalogue Launch Party and I had so much fun! It was great to see some new faces, as well as some of my faithful customers! 🙂

I am just in love with the new annual catalogue and I was just so excited to show off some new products. I had samples, treats, and even provided some super cute Catalogue Survival Kits!

Oh, and I even found some cupcakes with ‘Powder Pink’ frosting! So fun!

CupcakesSet-up 1Survival Kit-2

When I host an event, I really do try to add small, special, and personal touches for my customers. I appreciate every single one, and going the extra mile for them is my way of saying thank you. The Catalogue Survival Kits were one way of doing that, but I also made a beautiful In Colour Bookmark for everyone who attended my event. I may even have made one for myself! 😉

In Colour Bookmarks

On top of having door prizes, light refreshments, lots of laughter and fun, I also had a couple of make and takes! Because really, what’s a Stampin’ Up! event without getting inky fingers!

Aren’t these adorable?! For the first card we used the This Little Piggy Stamp Set, a little bit of Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper, and the Watercolour Pencils. The card base is Powder Pink Cardstock.

For the second card, we used the new Daisy Punch, with a little bit of Berry Burst and Powder Pink ink. The card base is Tranquil Tide Cardstock.

If this event sounds fun, just wait until you check out what I have planned! Be sure to take a look at my upcoming events and RSVP as soon as possible so you don’t miss out! All classes are held in my home studio in Hamilton, ON.

Stampin’ Up! OnStage Local Recap – April 2017

OnStage Sign

I’m a little bit behind in recapping my first OnStage experience (it’s what happens when you’re dealing with a flooded basement), but never the less, I thought it was still worth while to share such an amazing experience with you all.

If you’re not familiar with OnStage, this is an exclusive event held by Stampin’ Up! for their Demonstrators. It’s a one day conference that literally happens all over the world! There is the main OnStage event, which just happened to be in Amsterdam this time (oh man, how I would loved to go there!), but then there is also OnStage Local, which is smaller events throughout various countries so that even more people can attend. Luckily, the event closest to me just happened to be in Toronto, which is nice and close to me.

thumb_IMG_1213_1024thumb_IMG_1134_1024Survival Kit
My New Catalogue Survival Kit from Jenn Tinline!

This event allows demonstrators to learn about new products (i.e. the new 2017 – 2018 catalogue!), do some small business training, and even get crafty!

Most importantly though, it was inspiring.

Inspiring in ways that I can’t quite get down on paper (or screen). There’s just something about being in a room full of like-minded, talented, and oh-so-inspiring women (and some men), that just warms your heart. You get to meet new people and create lasting friendships, see others amazing Stampin’ creations, and really connect with other Demonstrators on a more personal level that you rarely get the chance to do.

I was lucky in that the majority of our Stamp with Jenn Demonstrator Team was there too! It’s amazing to connect with everyone in person so we can all reach the same goal:

Stampin' Up Mission

I can’t begin to express how much I love being a Demonstrator and how much I love to share my projects with you all. I am so happy I decided to take the plunge to join Stampin’ Up! a year and a half ago, and OnStage really reiterated my feelings!

The new product coming out on June 1st is amazing (as you may have seen some of the projects I’ve already shared), and I was even fortunate enough to win three stamp sets from Stampin’ Up! at OnStage! Can you say Prize Patrol?!

One of the main highlights of OnStage was seeing the display boards, not only of new products themselves, but to actually see them in action by way of Demonstrator creations. I love how we are able to preorder and play with new items because it allows us to show you , our amazing customers, what is coming and how easy it is to create projects with just a few items.

The fun wasn’t over after OnStage was finished either, as the Stamp with Jenn Team went out for dinner, not just to chat and swoon over the new catalogue, but to celebrate what it means to be a Demonstrator.

Team Photo

To be part of a team. A community. A family.

I truly love what I do and being a Demonstrator has allowed me to share my passion with others. I can’t wait for the next OnStage! And next year, I’ll be attending the big 30th Anniversary of Stampin’ Up! in Orlando! Would you like to join me?

P.S. – Be sure to sign up for my NEW newsletter to continue getting sneak peeks and updated on all exciting things there are to come!

January Paper Pumpkin

january-paper-pumpkin-blog-2

I am a little late with showing off this kit, but let me tell you, good things actually come to those who wait!

I mean, just look at how cute these treats bags are!

These are from the January Paper Pumpkin kit. If you’re unfamiliar with Paper Pumpkin, it’s a monthly crafting subscription kit that delivers creativity to your door every month. Each box includes everything you need to make a stunning project (including any ink AND adhesive!). The kits are also more than just cards (as you can see above), as it can also be projects such as cards, gift packaging, and home décor.

The best part? The kit is only $26.95/month, shipping included!

Here are some examples of past kits:youtubeth_pp_septyoutubeth_pp_octoberyoutubeth_pp_novemberdec-2016youtube-thumbnailpng

Aren’t these awesome? I mostly like how there are themed boxes for holidays. It makes it so much easier when I’m running behind on getting treats made for the kids classes or if I’m running behind on making Christmas cards!

The cool thing about the crafty Paper Pumpkin kits each month, is that often they have extra supplies so I’m always sure to use those for more craft projects later.

So the big question…are you a Paper Pumpkin subscriber?

If you are – THANK YOU!

If you are not, you have a few choices to try it out:

All subscriptions started by the 10th of the month will receive the kit for that month.

All subscribers get to purchase these PAST KITS anytime!

All kits are delivered right to your mailbox each month! Can you say Happy Mail?!

Subscriptions and kits make GREAT gifts too!

Please email or contact me with any questions.
